Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about RF Microneedling.

RF Microneedling delivers radiofrequency energy through needles, providing deeper thermal stimulation than traditional needling alone. This boosts collagen and tightening, often improving firmness, texture, and scars more effectively, though it can involve slightly increased immediate redness and short recovery.

Topical numbing is applied before treatment, so most clients feel pressure and warmth rather than sharp pain. Expect redness, mild swelling, and light peeling for 2–7 days; most return to normal activities within a few days with proper aftercare.

Most clients achieve visible improvement after 1–2 sessions, with optimal results after a series of 3 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Maintenance sessions once or twice yearly help sustain collagen and skin quality long-term.

Ideal candidates have laxity, uneven texture, enlarged pores, or acne scarring seeking collagen stimulation. Not recommended for pregnant women, active skin infections, uncontrolled acne, recent isotretinoin use, or a history of keloid scarring. A consultation determines suitability.

Before treatment avoid retinoids and excessive sun exposure for at least a week. Afterward, follow our aftercare: gentle cleansing, broad-spectrum sunscreen, no makeup for 24 hours, avoid heat and vigorous exercise for 48–72 hours, and use recommended healing serums.

You may notice immediate brightness and tighter skin within days, but collagen remodeling continues over 8–12 weeks for the fullest results. Improvements can last many months; maintenance sessions every 6–12 months help preserve collagen and skin quality long-term.
