Get answers to common questions about Chin Wax.
Most clients see regrowth in three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth cycles and hormonal factors. Regular waxing can lead to finer regrowth. Avoid shaving between sessions to maintain results and extend time between appointments.
Some mild discomfort is normal, but our technicians use quick, precise techniques and pre-wax numbing options when appropriate. Exfoliating beforehand and taking an over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes prior can reduce sensitivity. We also apply soothing post-care to calm skin.
Cleanse and avoid heavy creams or makeup on the day of your appointment. Let hair be at least quarter-inch long for effective removal. Exfoliate gently 48 hours before and avoid retinoids or strong acids to reduce irritation risk.
Waxing can sometimes lead to ingrown hairs, especially with curly hair. We recommend regular exfoliation, topical salicylic acid or glycolic acid products, and professional extraction when necessary. If persistent, consult us for tailored treatments or chemical exfoliation options.
Most clients return every three to six weeks based on personal hair growth and desired maintenance. We’ll help you determine the ideal schedule during your visit. Regular waxing can gradually lengthen intervals between appointments over time.
Mild redness or sensitivity is common immediately after waxing. Apply cool compresses and use calming gels or aloe vera. Avoid sun exposure, hot showers, and heavy products for 24–48 hours. Contact us if you experience prolonged irritation or signs of infection.
